Saptari (Rajbiraj), March 6: Police here have arrested over 12 cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) from different parts of the district as they have come in the street to obstruct the Mechi-Mahakali campaign launched by the CPN (UML) today.
According to UDMF local leader Gajendra Mandal, five persons were arrested from Rupani, five from Kanchanpur and three from Bhardah of the district.
According to police, they were found involved in obstructing the traffic along the east-west highway targeting to the campaign.
It may be noted that the preparations were completed for the mass meeting to be organized by the UML in industrial zone of Rajbiraj. The party chair K P Sharma Oli is scheduled to address the programme. RSS
