330 solar lamps to be installed in Ilam





Ilam, March 7: As many as 330 solar street lamps are to be installed in the headquarters of Ilam district. The Ilam Municipality Office and the Urban Development and Building Construction Division Office Ilam are installing the solar lamps. 
The Ilam Municipality is to install 130 lamps in partnership with the locals. Of the total cost for installing these many lamps, the consumers will bear 35 percent while the Ministry of Local Development the rest, Meghnath Dhungana, a technician at the Municipality Office, said. 
Similarly, the Urban Development and Building Construction Division Office, Ilam will install 120 solar street lamps. 
The solar lamps would be installed on a distance of four kilometres within the municipality area, Kamal Nidhi Chapagain of the Division Office, Ilam, stated. 
The solar lamps would be installed from Bhanupath to Thebechok, from Buspark to Malapath and Dhobidhara area through Chokbazar. 
Eighty additional solar lamps would be installed in the government office premises, it is stated. RSS
