In a bid to facilitate trade between Nepal and China, the District Administration Office has introduced a token system for goods-laden vehicles along Rasuwa-Kerung Highway. As per the system, only 50 container trucks, Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Adhikari said, are allowed passage at once through Miteri Bridge into Kerung of China while Betrawati, an entrance gate to Rasuwa, Syaphrubesi and Rasuwagadhi have been designed for parking lots. The efforts also aim to ease the construction of the 111 megawatt Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project by managing traffics along the highway, he added. Likewise according to the system, a vehicle carrying goods, which is permitted to go by receiving a token at Betrawati, is bound to get another token at Syaphrubesi parking lot to further head into Kerung of China. Substantial security has also been managed for traffics along the highway, said Chief of the District Police Office Phanindra Prasain. RSS
